On an iPhone, when data is copied to the device's memory (known as the clipboard), there are a few circumstances in which the copied data may be removed and not allow for pasting:

  1. When you copy new content to the clipboard, the previously copied data will be overwritten. This means if you copy something else after copying the initial data, the previous content will be replaced and cannot be pasted anymore.
  2. If you switch to another app or navigate away from the app where you copied the data, the clipboard content may be cleared. Some apps clear the clipboard for security or privacy reasons when you switch between apps, so the copied data won't be accessible for pasting.
  3. In some cases, the copied data may have a time limit after which it is automatically removed from the clipboard. This can be a security measure to prevent sensitive information from being stored in the clipboard for an extended period. Cut, copy, and paste between iPhone and other devices - Apple Support (IN)
  4. Restarting the iPhone usually clears the clipboard, so any copied data will no longer be available for pasting.

It's important to note that these circumstances can vary depending on the iOS version, app settings, and specific app behavior. If you encounter difficulties pasting copied data, it's recommended to recopy the content or try copying it within the same app to ensure it remains accessible for pasting.
