How can I upgrade my iMac system ?

Good news! You can upgrade to macOS Monterey. macOS Monterey will be a huge upgrade for your Mac that will include the latest features and apps compatible with your Mac.

Visit the Apple Support article How to download and install macOS - Apple Support, and under the "Use the App Store" section, choose Monterey 12.

Before installing new software, it's a good idea to back up your Mac.

Back up your data, check the application compatibility table, click here, and if your iMac is a 2012 or newer model, then on the download link for a more-recent OS.

Catalina and above won't run 32-bit software; if you choose one of them, use Go64 as well.

What model of iMac do you have, and what version of macOS is it running? The simplest way to find out is About This Mac, available by choosing About This Mac from the Apple menu  in the upper-left corner of your screen.
