Can't delete iCloud Backups because it's not showing

I am currently using iCloud free plan which gives you 5 GB storage. When I go to Manage Storage, it is showing that my entire 5 GB is full by iCloud backups. But when I tap on Backups it shows there is only one backup and the size is 0 KB. Now I am not able to clear space from my storage which I need to badly.

I tried deleting backups from iPad, MacBook and even Windows PC. In every place it shows storage is full by backups but when I click on backups it shows there are no backups. I have restarted my devices, made sure it's up to date but no luck at all. No matter what I do, I can't see any backups to delete.

If you haven't managed to sort this out yet, I was just in contact with Apple Support who helped me with the same problem by doing this:

  • Go into Settings--> your name --> Media and Purchases
  • Sign Out
  • Check to see if the issue has resolved
  • Sign back in
  • Backup
