I bought a new Mac and need to erase it to send to Apple for a trade in. When I was setting up my new one I think I "merged" the old and the new. If I erase the old one, will it erase the data off the new one, too? My husband used to do all this stuff but he passed away, maybe someone can help. Thanks in advance.
You can use the following procedure on the old Mac and it will not affect anything on the new one.
