iPhone speaker's volume is very low

My volume is all the way up and I still can hardly hear out of it I reset and powered off my phone and nothing

I have had this same problem just in the past day or so. My phone dies and I recharge it and when the phone reboots the maximum volume is as strong as clicking the up volume button twice from mute. I have found that if you call someone and stay on the line for a minute or so it should fix the volume problem. Hope this helps

I see now that this is about iPhone, your post was originally in the Ventura forum, that is why I assumed it was about a Mac.


Did this change recently? Any other change like a recent update that may correlate to this issue?


Just to set aside the obvious: you are pressing the volume up button and seeing that the volume is at max?


As my own hearing is not so good, especially in noisy environments, I often need to set the phone on loudspeaker mode in order to properly hear the other person.
