Audi Midi Setup on iMac 2021

Why does Audio Midi Setup app allow to select 96KHz for the jack and speakers if it does not support it?

It is an M1 iMac 2021.

Never mind. I thought iMac only supported 48Khz, but it turns out I was wrong.

Multichannel LPCM over HDMI 2.0 Down Mixing When trying to send multichannel LPCM audio via HDMI 2.0 from my 2021 M1 MacBook Pro to my AVR (Denon AVR-S750H), the audio is somehow getting downmixed to Stereo. In the MIDI Setup application, I am able to select from a range of 2-8 ch, 16/20/24 bit, (48 kHz only) audio formats, but all other formats including all Digital Encoded Audio options are grayed out. I have confirmed the AVR supports (in LPCM) a wide range of audio formats that includes most of the grayed-out options. Currently set to 6ch, 24 bit, 48 kHz, and the AVR is correctly showing "Multi In - Dig. / PCM" on the front display. Unfortunately, no settings in the AVR seem to enable these grayed-out formats or stop this Multichannel LPCM to Stereo downmixing. Note that Dolby Digital files successfully play isolated channels as it should. The AVR was able to decode multichannel PCM without issue when a Windows machine was used, so I wonder if this is a MacOS issue. Apple Support was not able to help. Any thoughts on this?

Yamaha Midi driver with Macbook M1 (Apple Silicon) - Midi interface OK, Not recognizing Audio interface Hi, I've always used my Synth/Keyboard Yamaha MOX8 with Windows and I've never had problems to the Driver recognize the audio and/or midi interface. The Synth has internal audio interface. I just bought a MacBook with an M1 chip (Apple Silicon) and it's on macOS Monterey 12.4. I installed the latest version available from the Yamaha website: 1) Yamaha Steinberg USB Driver V3.1.1 for Mac macOS 11/12(Intel/Apple silicon with Rosetta 2). https://br.yamaha.com/pt/support/updates/yamaha_steinberg_usb_driver_for_mac.html 2) USB-MIDI Driver V1.5.0 for Mac macOS 12, 11 (Intel/Apple silicon with Rosetta 2) https://br.yamaha.com/pt/support/updates/usb_midi_driver_for_mac.html When trying to use it with the keyboard, the MacBook is recognizing the midi interface (I can see it in the "Midi Studio" screen, but it does not recognize the audio interface, that means, I am able to control VST, exchange midi signals, but neither the operating system nor the DAW is recognizing the audio interface. Note 1: I already tested using the original keyboard cable + USB HUB, as well as I bought a new USB-B to USB-C cable, connecting directly to the Macbook and the result was the same. There was no difference. Note 2: In the installation guide of item 2, ask to confirm that the installation was successful if we have files in the folder: /Library/Audio/MIDI Drivers/YAMAHA-USBMIDIDriver.plugin /Library/PreferencePanes/MIDI Drivers/YAMAHA-USBMIDIPatch.prefPane I checked and besides the installation report as successfully finished, the files are not in the folder.

Audio/Midi setup Output Volume Slider Not Working Has anyone ever encountered this problem? There is no output volume slider for my audio interface (MOTU828X) in Logic Pro X (10.7.2) audio/midi setup. I am unable to control the output volume. This feature was working fine up to a couple days ago. Your suggestion(s) would be greatly appreciated.
