I think the charging port on my phone is either one or damaged. I must force the cable into the port and bend it in order for it to start charging, and when I let go of the cable, it stops charging.

I am wondering if my phone port is worn or damaged. When I insert the cable into the port, I must force it in and move it around in order to see it making contact and start charging. When I let go of the cable, it stops, charging immediately in order to keep charging. I must hold it and force in.

Visit an Apple Store or an Apple Authorized Reseller in your region for assistance to diagnose the problem.

And they could offer a possible solution.

You will first have to make an appointment due to the pandemic.
