I cannot update my catalina10.15 to any other newer update

I am trying to download excel and word and it requires to have macOS 11 or newer I did my last update 2 days ago yo catalina 10.15 and Cannot find a way to update to a new version at least to Big Sur 11 update

iMac 27″, macOS 10.15

You can use neither of those on this iMac.


Microsoft supports only the three most recent macOS versions.


Apple generally drops support five to seven years.


You can either replace the iMac with a newer (used, refurb) or new iMac, or can migrate to an Office app (such as LibreOffice) which does support your iMac.

LibreOffice is Free and Open Source. It's free of charge, although the project is happy to accept donations. The stable version (7.4.7) will run on High Sierra or later, and the early adopter version (7.5.4) will run on Mojave or later. Starting in August, new releases will require at least Catalina.

Note that while LibreOffice 7.5.4 is in the App Store, the App Store download costs $8.99 and requires Big Sur or later. So get the application directly from the LibreOffice Web site.
