Add phone number to new iPhone
I accidentally removed my phone number from my Apple ID when setting up my new phone. I cannot make calls, and I can only send messages from my email address. How do I add my number back?

The ability to make calls is controlled by a phone service being set up on your device by a phone company. I don't know that you could remove that yourself by mistakenly editing anything. You could remove a number from your list of trusted numbers as described in this article about managing the information you use with your account --> Manage and use your Apple ID - Apple Support
but I don't know that doing that would result in preventing you from making phone calls from your device. If you are having problems making phone calls, contact your phone service provider.
