Hello scrubbtug,

It depends on many factors, including the battery you put into the AirTag. The batteries Apple gave me (that come with AirTag), lasted me a little over a year.

When the time comes to replace them, just make sure you get CR2032 lithium 3V coin batteries and that the company you're buying them from has good reviews.
