I received a message that the battery in one of my AirTags is low. I put a new battery in, but it did not beep. Help!

Are you using Duracell replacements?
Their “bitterant” coating inhibits functionality in AirTags.
Use non-bitterant coated batteries.

No sound. It must be a battery issue
I am using Panasonic batteries.
Note that you don’t get the “beep” until the AirTag’s metal cover is being replaced.
(not when the battery is first inserted)
Still not beeping after I replace the metal cover
Can you “play a sound” using FindMy on your iPhone?
