Can I update my iPhone 7 to iOS 17?

That is impossible for two reasons.

1. Your iPhone 7 can only be updated to iOS 15.7.7.
2. iOS 17 has not been released yet. It is scheduled to be released in the fall.

According to your post, everything below the yellow hand would not be compatible with iOS 17, which Apple says is compatible.

My bad, I stand corrected. Now I’m trying to remember where I saw that…this is going to drive me nuts. Again sorry about that. It doesn’t change the fact that the 7 still won’t be able to update to 17 though.

The beta version is available now (I’m running it) but even when it’s released it going to be for iPhone models 12 and newer.

iOS 17 will not be available until fall. But, even when it is available, you will not be able to install it on an iPhone 7.

There is no iOS 17 update for the iPhone 7. No iOS 16 update, either.
