I try disable the caps lock key on macOS Ventura 13.4.1 (c) (22F770820d) MacBook Pro M1
In my case, this did not work out if to use the standard operating system settings (Keyboard -> Keyboard Shortcuts.. -> Modifier Keys -> Caps Lock key = No Action).

I always turn mu Capslock key into a Control key. And I have to make the setting separately for both my Macbook Pro AND my USB Apple extended keyboard.

The problem was that Karabiner was installed on the MacBook, which changed the keyboard to its own. It was enough to choose the right keyboard what noticed correctly BobHarris. The problem is solved.
