Migrating data

I just purchased a MacBook Air 2020 M1. In trying to set it up and migrate information from my iPad Pro 10.5 inch, I can’t follow the directions as I cannot find an “applications” file on my iPad to start a migration. Is there one n this older iPad?

Alas, Migration Assistant only supports migrating from Mac->Mac or PC->Mac. So if you were hoping to migrate your email accounts and apps, you won't be able to.

Refer to tbirdvet's post on transferring photos and files if you're only referring to that type of transfer.
