WhatsApp draining battery again

Has anyone noticed that WhatsApp is using a lot of battery again in the last few days. I have a 6 month old iPhone 13 mini. What is the background activity that WhatsApp uses? Can I stop it? I do not have any linked devices so it’s not that.

Whatsapp background activity Whatsapp drain most of the battery in the background even if its not on , Background app refresh is totally off for all the apps and also i have iphone xs max with 83 percent battery health and the battery drain on whatsapp background activity is totally insane
