When I am included in a group text with multiple numbers and there is an Andriod user in the group chat, it will not allow me to see original text and subsequent texts. Is this a setting issue?

I took my phone to the service provider yesterday. They changed my sim. Hopefully that will correct my issue. I also deleted all the previous messages that included any group messages that had problems. I deleted them from all of my devices.
Group texts involving 'droid users are based on SMS protocol and out of the control of iOS settings. You can't even leave the group.
Look like this group is no help. Did you ever get an answer? I’m having the same issue.
If you didn’t like the Apple Recommended answer there is little more to say.
