How do you retrieve lost what's app from backup?

When I got a new Iphone 14 (had 11) the Verizon store staff restored the new phone but my "what's app" content & contacts was missing. Can I restore it somehow??

It’s possible to restore your WhatsApp chats but you need to have backed up those chats on iCloud : https://faq.whatsapp.com/618575946635920/?cms_platform=iphone&helpref=platform_switcher.
