Accidentally added funds to Apple ID rather than Apple Pay

So I accidentally added funds to my Apple ID and I saw that there is no other way to refund or transfer back onto the card, and I do not wish on spending it on any Apple apps or products, how can I get it back?

The 2 cards in your wallet look completely different. One says Apple Cash and the other says Apple Account. If do you accidentally add to the wrong card, all that you need to do is contact Apple directly and they can reverse the charge. Not a big deal or a conspiracy to get your money.

My money is locked up and I cannot figure out how to get a refund. I cannot believe this is legal! Apple is in with the credit cards too, as when I called them to refute the charge they said only Apple can help. I get refunds all the time from the same CC if there is a charge issue from another merchant.

Since your post has nothing to do with the question the OP and also the successful resolution verified by the OP, I would suggest you post a new question as it makes no sense posting here on a completely different topic.

For starters, I would also include in your new post about what refund you are attempting. Apple does not get involved with any decision a bank or credit card company makes, in fact that would be illegal and Apple only provides the information requested from your Credit Card company. While many disputes are possible through your card for fraud, the companies are well aware that purchases on your iPhone require authentication through either biometrics or your Passcode which you are responsible for. It is difficult to say a purchase was fraudulent when they know the authentication method was used.

If you feel that your credit card company is not treating you fairly and you are in the US, you can file a complaint against them with the CFPB and in most cases you will get a response in 15 days. That will give you a chance to state your case with the Federal Government and the credit card company must also provide the information they have to show that a dispute is not warranted.

Same! I was one the phone for 1+ hrs and was told I can make a complaint but there is no feedback process. I meant to deposit funds in my Apple Pay as I was out of country and thought it would be easier to make purchases. NOPE, I learned Canadians DO NOT have the option to use Apple Pay (was what they stated) and that’s why my funds were rerouted to apple account. Since subscriptions withdrew from funds available in this account vs my bank, I now have to wait for my request to refund these purchases in order to refund the original deposit amount (partial refunds are not available). I assume you did this using a Debit Card. If that is the case contact Apple directly to see if they can reverse the charge so it goes back to your Debit Card, then you can correctly add money to Apple Cash.

No, the Apple Account is only for Apple purchases. Here is what it can be used for:

Since you previously stated you accidentally added funds to the Apple Account instead of Apple Cash, contact Apple directly and they can reverse that transaction back to your payment method.

Yes but I had to be connected to an apple technician or I believe it was the customer service department and state that it was supposed to go into your Apple Cash not the account, say it was meant to be transferred to bank account for rent and they’ll refund you immediately

I didnt have to pay anything they just did it since it was for a bill payment

Glad you got it resolved. Accidents happen and from all the cases I have seen reported here where the person mistakenly added funds to the Apple Account instead of Apple Cash, I have seen it reported the they were able to resolve it by contacting Apple directly. I have never heard of anyone having to pay any fees for that to happen. Fees only occur for Instant Transfers out of Apple Cash into your account.

So stupid me bought an Apple voucher worth 100€. There was a voucher code and a link to redeem it. Stupider me clicked on a LEGIT LINK from APPLE to redeem the money and the money has been added to my Apple Account Balance. It turns out you can only spend this money in App Store AND I WANT TO SPEND IT IN APPLE STORE! I CONTACTED APPLE SUPPORT AND THEY'RE NOT REFUNDING THE MONEY! Please someone find a solution for this. 100€ is a lot of money!!!!
