Check Power Settings: Check your power settings to make sure your MacBook is not set to shut down after a certain period of inactivity. Go to "System Preferences" > "Energy Saver" and adjust the settings accordingly.

Overheating: Overheating can cause a MacBook to shut down to prevent damage. Make sure your laptop has proper ventilation and is not placed on surfaces that can block airflow. Consider using a laptop cooling pad if necessary.

Reset System Management Controller (SMC): Resetting the SMC can sometimes resolve hardware-related issues. The SMC controls functions like power management, battery charging, and sleep/wake behavior. To reset it, follow Apple's official instructions for your specific MacBook model.

Check for Malware: Malware or viruses could potentially cause unexpected shutdowns. Run a reputable antivirus or antimalware scan to ensure your system is clean.

Check Console Logs: macOS keeps logs of various events, including system crashes. You can check the Console app for any error messages or patterns that might indicate what's causing the shutdowns. Look for messages around the time of the shutdowns.

Hardware Diagnostics: Run Apple Diagnostics to check for any hardware issues. To do this, restart your MacBook and hold down the 'D' key until the Apple Diagnostics screen appears. Follow the on-screen instructions.

Check Battery Health: If your MacBook's battery is failing, it could cause unexpected shutdowns. Go to "System Preferences" > "Energy Saver" > "Battery Health" to check your battery's condition. If it's degraded, you might need to consider replacing it.

Magnets: Sometimes the MacBooks shut down whenever you place an iPhone or magnet on/near the screen. Which will essentially just turn off your device.
