Apple Watch is having technical issues

So I recently just got a new Apple Watch it’s the series 4 I can’t get it to show me the weather for my location it just says “weather requires I phone app but I have the weather app on my phone another problem I have is when I try to download anything onto my watch it doesn’t actually download it just loads and then it goes back to the “get” tab

Assuming you have correctly paired the watch to your iPhone, the first (and simplest) thing to try if something isn’t working right is to restart your Apple Watch and its paired iPhone. If necessary (device not responding), try a forced restart. Both methods can be found here:

If that doesn't help, the next steps would be to unpair and pair your watch again and restore from the backup just created. This should result in no loss of data. It deletes all temp and corrupted files and re-indexes the file system.

You can also delete and redownload the Weather app from the App Store if you think that app might be corrupted.
