Hi hossay146,

Sorry to hear that. Unfortunately Activation Lock is difficult to remove without the right Apple ID, and may require Apple's involvement.

If you forgot your Apple ID (which email address you used for it), you might be able to look it up here: https://iforgot.apple.com/appleid

Also, do you have any other Apple devices signed into that same Apple ID? You might be able to check which email address is being used:

On an iPhone or iPad

  1. Open the Settings app.
  2. If your name appears at the top of the screen, tap on it. If it doesn't, but an iCloud category appears further down the list, tap on that instead.
  3. Note the email address used. You'll likely need it to clear Activation Lock.
  4. You might also be able to reset your Apple ID password using your other device if need be.

On another Mac

  1. Open the Settings or System Preferences app.
  2. If you see your name at the top left corner or just at the top, select that or choose Apple ID. Or, choose iCloud if that appears instead.
  3. Note the email address used. You'll likely need it to clear Activation Lock.
  4. You might also be able to reset your Apple ID password using your other device if need be.

Check your email

Check each of your email accounts and search for emails from Apple. If any are found, there's a good chance that the email address is being used as an Apple ID.

If all else fails

Apple has the ability to clear Activation Lock on their end. They require original proof of purchase (must include the serial number) in order to do so. If you have this info, you can submit it here: https://al-support.apple.com/#/getsupport
