Mac / iPad displaying Time stamps on email app as mm/dd/yy only

trying to display time stamps in the mail app for incoming/out-coming emails as mm/dd/yy only. By default, mail app shows emails time-stamps as "yesterday, Tuesday, Monday and so on". Coders and designers at Apple are becoming increasingly annoying not adding this basic functionality. Anyone knows how to force mail app to time stamp only with the aforementioned format?

thanks

Unfortunately this feature of the native iPad/iPhone Mail App is not configurable. Email received today is listed by time-of-receipt; mail received yesterday is marked as “yesterday”, whilst others arriving with the last week are listed by day-of-week. Email preceding this is marked by date.

You are not the first - and are unlikely to be the last - to make this observation and/or complaint.

Apple do invite constructive feedback, comment and feature requests via their product feedback pages:

If you would like to see the ability to change this behaviour in a future update to iOS/iPadOS, this would be the most appropriate channel through which to make your request.
