Does Apple have an app similar to Excel? I need an app for spreadsheets

All 3 of which are free via the App Store.

So not only does this high-dollar computer have the app you want, it does not cost you anything to install it.

You could use the free LibreOffice.

"Numbers" is the Apple spreadsheet. If you can't find it on your Mac then download it from the App store - it's free.

My 2p: if you're an expert/power Excel user then you might find Numbers a bit......erm.....annoying and if you've already got a load of Excel files and want to crack on and just use them then Numbers might not be what you want. I tried it but gave up quickly cos I needed to work, not learn a new spreadsheet. Libre Office works fine for me, it's free and it even runs Excel macros (you need install a java runtime on the Mac - not hard - GIYF).

Invoking personal choice is always a personal winner.

You have a whole office suite: spreadsheet (Numbers), word processor (Pages) and presentation (Keynote).

Unless you or some other user uninstalled them, they're right there on your Mac.
