Am I right in saying that, to create a Shared Photo Library, I have to now reselect photos from the thousands in my Personal Library? Cant I just move an already curated, obviously shareable, Shared Album of photos?
You can only move items from your iCloud Photos Library to the Shared iCloud Photos Library., but shared albums are stored in a different part of iCloud. To share Photos from a Shared Album you would first have to import them to your iCloud Photos Library. As the photos in your shared albums are just copies in a lesser quality with many metadata stripped, it would be much better to find the originals in your Photos Library to share them in the shared library.

Thank you, i didn’t realise there was a quality difference. Still, given the effort put into curating shared albums, the shear volume of photos people have and that quality may not be a primary concern for some, the option would have been nice. Certainly going to slow adoption.
