Contactless not working

I purchased a new Iphone 14 a couple of months ago. Since changing to the new phone, my contactless is not working to make purchases in shops. I have successfully added my cards to the apple pay terminal (and i have deleted and reuploaded these multiple times). However, when I double click to put the card up to the card terminal in a shop, it does not register. Apple pay still works when I do purchases such as online shoppping etc. I have retarted my phone multiple times and I am updated to the latest update of Ios.


Any help would be appreciated.

Sounds like a hardware issue. Your device should be under the standard 1 year hardware warranty. If you want to confirm hardware issue, you need to make an appointment at an Apple Retail Store. You can also contact Apple Support to return the device and check it that way. But you’d be without an iPhone. To the best of my knowledge, NFC can’t be completely checked remotely by Apple Care.
