Apple Watch series 0

One of my professors gave me his old Apple Watch series 0 (OG) and I would leave it on the charger for days, but it would get stuck in either a boot loop or the "green snake of death". The screen also has a pinkish tint hue of some sort. I opened it up and replaced the battery... And the same issue continues. I know it's not really worth fixing, but, I don't want it to end up in a landfill:( Any ideas?

If your device isn’t eligible for credit, Apple will recycle it for free. It’s good for you and the planet. For more info, see:

You can "trade it in" online or in-store.
