An Authorized Service Center said they would need to wipe my device to replace the back glass. Is this standard or expected?
I just dropped my iPhone 14 Pro Max (with an Apple case on it...) and the back glass has spider cracked. I'd like to replace it via Apple / Authorized service, but the service center I called said that I would need to backup my device prior. Sure, but I asked why and they said the device would be wiped when the service was performed. Can anyone say that this is true or untrue?
