Texts on laptop

Since buying a new MacBook Air some of my text messages have started appearing on the laptop and not my iPhone, and vice versa. How can I get messages on both as I’m missing texts if I’m not on my laptop.

This is controlled on your iPhone under messages and message forwarding. Messages go to your phone then to your other devices as you direct.

You have to forward messages to each Apple device individually: Forward and share messages on iPhone - Apple Support
