When did Apple change the size / format of the default settings on the camera to 4*3? How do you set it to 16*9?

When did Apple change the size / format of the default settings on the camera to 4*3? How do you set it to 16*9?
MacBook Pro 13″, macOS 12.6
The default has always been 4:3 ratio which uses the full area of the sensor. 16:9 crops some of the sensor area.
