Chat notifications disappear when opening WhatsApp, even if I don’t open that particular chat

Hey all. Whenever I open a WhatsApp chat it automatically removes any other WhatsApp chat notifications I have in my Notification Centre, even though I didn’t open those chats. Same thing happens for messenger. Any fixes for it? My wife’s iPhone settings are the same as mine but it doesn’t happen to her. I’ve tried playing around with things but not luck. Started happening about a year ago with my iPhone 13, and still happens with my 15 Pro now
