Sonoma new terms and conditions fails to load

Macbook Pro M2 Sonoma 14.0

in Settings -> Apple ID suggestions ->

To use iCloud on this Mac you must accept the new terms and conditions.


Clicking on Terms and conditions button displays a white panel with a spinning icon in the middle and hangs settings.

Cannot reboot without force (holding power) or killing "MacOS/System Settings"


MacBook Pro 15″, macOS 10.15

Resolved by :

Click your icon / Apple ID in settings ,

On right panel scroll down right to the bottom and click sign out.

you will have to make some choices about removing icloud items or storing them locally.

Then sign in again.
