MacBook fault

Known fault on 13 Inch MackBook Pro Display Backlight on devices between October 2016 and February 2018 as explained on the Apple Help Page. However Mac will only repair free 2016 Two-Thunderbolt 3 Ports model, not 2017 which I have. The Apple Authorised Service Provider sent me on a journey to an Apple Retail Store on advice it would be repaired free as a known fault, but their computer said No.

Have any others encountered this problem and what advice can you offer please?

If you Mac is not on this list, the cost to repair is yours: Apple Service Programs - Apple Support

If you search this community, you'll find you are not alone in not being covered by a service program.
