Yes I am always connected through my phone and Wi-Fi so that’s not the problem
Hey there,
After once deleting the emails from Inbox, empty your Bin or else they will still appear in search under All Mailboxes. It happened with me too, I used to think why my deleted emails are appearing again until I realised that I was searching under "All Mailboxes" which included my deleted emails also 😅
When you delete an email you need to have an internet connection so the email can also be deleted from the server. If it isn’t deleted from the server it will be re-downloaded to your phone the next time you connect to the server.
You can close an app by swiping up from the bottom of the screen to go back to the Home Screen. You can also force-close an app by going to the app switcher and swiping up on the app. This is a bad practice in general both because there is no benefit, doing it slows down your phone and increases battery drain, but also because it stops the app INSTANTLY and doesn’t give it a chance to finish what it was doing, such as propagating the delete instructions to the server.
I’m not sure which method you are using, but if you are force closing stop doing that for any app.

Good observation.
What kind of account is it?
Are you in the habit of force-closing apps (in particular the mail app) when you exit the app?
There is only one way to close an app on the iPhone swipe up
Have you tried going to iCloud.com and deleting them from there?
