Inherited iPad from dead friend
I dear friend has passed away. Her family gave my son their mothers Ipad. It is locked do to too many attempts to guess what her password may have been.

Here is what to do to clear a passcode lock:
With Mac or PC: If you forgot your iPad passcode - Apple Support
Without: If you see an iPhone or iPad unavailable message or Security Lockout screen - Apple Support
But you'll probably next meet Activation Lock here, which is intentionally not easy to bypass.
