Adding people to iphone group messages

My phone does not have "add Contact."

MacBook Pro 13″, macOS 10.13

If anyone in the group has an Android phone, you cannot edit the group. You will need to create a new message group.

When you tap that gray arrow to the right of contacts, you may see a row that says “[number] People” also with a gray arrow on the right. Tap that arrow.
