I cannot update my watch until I update my phone. However, my phone won’t update to iOS 17. How can I update my watch?

watchOS 10 requires an iPhone that has iOS 17 installed, and you can only pair an Apple Watch running watchOS 10 with an iPhone having iOS 17 already installed.
