iPhone 13 Pro overheating all the time, battery drain and degradation with iOS 17

After iOS 17.0.3 my iPhone 13 Pro is overheating all the time, it gets worse when charging.

It charges to 100% (during the night) but then it overheats a lot, I even get a warning about it, and starts to drain battery while charging.

In the battery tab, it says that the Find My app is going in the background during ths charging, dont know if this is the problem, cause I've turned it off and makes no diference at all.

The only solution is to turn airplane mode on during the night, but soon as I turn it off, it starts to overheating to death.

Done a hard reset too, and nothing.

This is literaly killing my phone, battery degradation is getting too high.

I got from 100% to 95% in one year, and from 95% to 90% in a couple of weeks, just after the update...

What is going on?

Hey Seabra233,

Thanks for using Apple Support Communities. You don't mention the exact version of IOS 17 you have installed. An update was recently released to iOS 17.0.3 that addresses an overheating issue as shown here: About iOS 17 Updates - Apple Support

To see which version you have installed, tap Settings > General > About. If an update is needed, be sure to back up first. This guide can help with both steps: Update your iPhone or iPad - Apple Support

Just in case, here's a guide with more information and tips for when your device is warmer than you expect: If your iPhone or iPad gets too hot or too cold - Apple Support

Keep us posted.

Take care!
