When my child makes a request for more time, he uses an iPad 9 running iPad OS 17.x.
My iPhone 13 Mini running iOS 17.x does not notify me. If I navigate to settings>screentime>child, I can see the pending request. But why don’t I get a notification?

Please pay more attention to Family feature. It looks like so many things are not working properly and designed so complicated it is not usable. As a parent, this is one of the most important feature for my children and it is disappointing that Apple is not taking this as seriously as you would do with other things.
Same issue not receiving screen time requests in any form from my Child’s ipad to my iphone 14 pro max. Please resolve this asap.

That is the right explanation. You need both of device parent and child to enable the iMessage by email. It works. Thank you.

Reboot child's device works for me. Make whatever changes you need on parent's device, then reboot the child's devices if this issue happens.
