my ipad air 5th generation went black and will not turn on

My ipad air 5th generation just stopped working and it was working at 6am this morning now it is black and I cannot turn it on not even when I plug it into the charging device.

iPhone 6 Plus, iOS 12

Try charge it for a prolonged period of time to see if the issue persists. If it perssits, please force restart the iPad

  1. Press and quickly release the volume button nearest to the top button.
  2. Press and quickly release the volume button farthest from the top button.
  3. Press and hold the top button.
  4. When the Apple logo appears, release the top button.
