I’m about to get a new phone. I don’t remember how you transfer everything from old to new. I just need my Apple ID password only right and then iCloud is automatically connected? Or do I need both? I’m not sure what my iCloud login is so I’m hoping they are just connected automatically.

All Apple services including iCloud and this forum use your Apple ID. There is only one password per Apple ID.
