how to open external hard drive
I have photos on a Verbatim external hard drive. It is connected to my Macbook Air but is not showing up on the screen so I cannot open it. What do I do?

If Finder > Settings (or Preferences) > General, put a check mark in front of External Disks to display them on the screen.
Also, in Finder > Settings (or Preferences) > Sidebar, put a check mark in front of External Disks to display them on the Finder sidebar.
