What can we you do if you have two iPhones - one for personal use and one for work?

can you you actually have 2 ids?

You can have two IDs. It works best just in the kind of situation where you wish to mostly keep two personas completely separate. Although you cannot "merge" them should you decide to only have one again, don't be misled by that statement which is often made here as an oversimplification. You can do a lot of sharing using Apple's various iCloud sharing services, as well as using Family Sharing.


Apps and media bought with one ID are permanently associated with that ID. Look into using Family Sharing to continue to be able to use items purchased with one Apple ID with other Apple IDs, and for some data sharing features.
