Unable to create Apple ID for child

I’m trying to set up an iPod touch for my child. After creating a new ID, it asks for a verification code that was sent to my child’s iCloud email address. When I try to login to the email to retrieve the code, I receive an error that the ID is not valid or supported.

We have created the iCloud account which has our (adult’s) account/mobile number linked to it. We then get a message for a verification code to activate our child’s iCloud account, however, we are unable to log in to the account we created in order to access the code. We get stuck at this stage and are unsure how to move past it. Any advice? If we try to reset the password for our child’s account then it resets the password for the parent’s account, and locks the child’s account and we then get stuck in this endless loop. I'm having problems setting up my Apple ID. I'm having problems setting up my Apple ID. I have gave my old iPhone 11 Pro Max to my daughter. The phone was wiped clean my cellular provider. I cannot add any apps or a new email to this old phone without setting up a new Apple ID. However, everytime select "create a new ID," I fill out required info, I receive the verification code in my email, then I fill in the code; I receive a message stating "your information could not be saved at this time." Please help. I need to setup a new Apple ID.

Re-gain access to child's Apple ID account Due to some issues we were having on my son's (he's 10yrs old) iPad, we needed to sign out of his Apple ID, now when I try log back in I get a message that a verification code needs to be sent to the phone number associated with his account. Unfortunately this is an old cell phone number which I no longer have, thus no way to receive the code. I did find there was an option to send the code to his email account, which unfortunately is an iCloud email account, so when trying to access his email we run into the same verification code issue. What options do I have to to sign back into his account? Thanks in advance for any guidance.

Hello,

For help with that you need to contact Apple. Click here --> Choose your country or region - Official Apple Support Select your country, then a product. If you don't see one that handles your issue then keep experimenting with selections until you reach one that gets you a chat session or a telephone call and get the representative to redirect you.
