No text sound alerts

I have my phone set for Sounds and Haptics. When I receive text messages it vibrates but I get NO text tone. I have already tried all the discussion suggestions and nothing seems to work. I have turn the phone off and turned it on again. I have tried various tones. I have checked Do Not Disturb. I have turned volume up all the way.

The telephone call rings as it should, but not the text tone. It has worked consistently since I have had this phone, but then just decided to stop.

Check your setting on Bluetooth. If it is on, turn it off. That's what worked for me after endless time pressing every button until something worked.
