I got notice saying computer is disabled and to contact Apple Defender Security Center. Is this real?

No this notifications are a scam. Apple will never send you such notifications.


Please close the notification and don't click it. You might want to check your safari extensions as there can be a malicious extension installed that is sending you these notifications

If you can't determine what an extension does, or you don't expect to use it again, you should uninstall it.

  1. Choose Safari > Settings (or Preferences), then click Extensions.
  2. To uninstall an extension, select the extension and click the Uninstall button.
