I opened a page for a potential job and ever since then have been getting notifications that I have a virus. Now I have my Norton Program installed and now when im on safari im getting a notification that an external computer is attempting to connect to my MacBook.
Would a factory reset solve this issue or help with removing the issue?

In addition you do not need Norton anti virus software. It will only cause other issues.
