iPhone 12 Pro Max issues after 17.1.1 update

I updated to IOS 17.1.1 2 days ago and my iPhone 12 Pro Max is having nothing but issues since. iMessage and FaceTime will not work despite being on and after trying every fix I could find online. The error message ‘waiting for activation’ is appearing. I am not getting any iMessages despite the senders phone showing it was sent received via message. This is a real problem as I have no idea what messages I may not have received for the last few days and I also use my phone for work. I am not getting any notifications for WhatsApp, messenger, missed calls or other apps despite not changing notification settings and them all being switched on. Location settings are not working properly and maps is picking up the wrong locations and find my iPhone is also not working, another major issue as I use this for my children. Volume settings are not reflecting what has been selected. Other than the functionality issues listed (and probably more I’m yet to realise) I’m not a fan of the new look and feel in contacts and calling.

Are there any bug fix updates planned as it seems many people are experiencing issues since this update & it's really not good enough Apple?

You have posted to a user-to-use site. We are all users here.....just like you. Apple is not here. They will not answer.

No one on a user-to-user site will be able to tell you what Apple might do or when they might do it.

I have had SO many issues after the new update with my iPhone 12 ProMax. The phone is barely 2 1/2 yrs old. After the update, my phone turned off and would not respond. So I plugged it into my PC and had to try to force update and restore it, which did not work. So I had to take it into the Apple store where they were able to restore the phone, but I lost EVERYTHING on my phone.

Needless to say, my 2 1/2 yrs worth of pictures... GONE. I was very upset, and could not restore or save any of my photos that were erased. This was not my fault, a fairly new phone, should not have these kinds of issues. The phone was working one second, and then completely unresponsive the next.

The kicker? My phone is doing the same exact thing, for a SECOND time. And of course, I am not able to resolve this issue at home with iTunes. So off to the Apple Store again to get this issue addressed. I am a very unhappy Apple camper at the moment. They really need to get this issue fixed, and if not, offer a free replacement or upgrade. It is completely ridiculous.

Even with the complete reset I’m still not getting notifications on certain apps despite all the settings and some apps that used to have notifications don’t even have the option anymore. Still experience issues with calls. This has been the most frustrating update by far and I’m starting to think they do it to encourage you to buy the latest model 😡

Many of my texts with and without photos have received the red exclamation showing "undelivered". My typing constantly contains typos yet wasn't a problem before the update. I can not send messages from my phone or Ipad from iMessage to Android users. Is there a better app available for sending text messages to iOS and Android users?

I used to love my Apple phone.
