2 phones, one Apple ID, don’t want all iMessages to sync.

I have a personal phone and a work phone with different numbers. I would like to share my Apple ID between the phones, but there are certain people who iMessage me that I would like to block from my work phone, but not my personal phone, and others from whom I’d like to receive iMessages on both phones. Is this possible, or would those contacts blocked on my work phone end up blocked from both phones as they are both the same Apple ID? Thanks.
