Is there anyway to “lock” a payment method that is attached to my Apple ID?

I would like to be able to lock and unlock a payment method similar to what most credit cards have now? I use capital one virtual credit card number to make purchases online. Once I make a purchase, I then lock that virtual credit card number until I use it again. Is there something similar that I can use that will be attached to my Apple ID? I tried using my capital one virtual credit card number, but when I locked the virtual credit card, it stopped working with my Apple ID. It was on Apple’s side that I was having the problem, not on capital one’s side. Any thoughts on a similar way to do it with my payment method attached to my Apple ID?

Apple checks with your financial agency if your card is working. If you lock it then it isn't working and Apple fusses and gives you an error message. There is nothing you can do on your device to lock the card. You can, however, make sure you are using all of Apple's security measures to ensure that nobody can get access to your device, account and card.
