apple remote desktop connecting intel to apple m2 MBP

So I'm attempting to connect Macs running intel to apple M2 macOS 13.6. Multiple computers but same result can't connect. Does see the status on the M2 macOS 13.6, can transfer files but not smoothly gives an error.

Overview:

ARD version - 3.9.8, macOS 13.6

Intel > m2
- Can
  - see it's on the network
  - which app is being used
  - authenticate to see the above
  - transfers file but gets an error
- Can't
  - View or control
M2 > intel
- Can do everything, no issue.

Is there some known issue for not being able to ARD with intel to apple M chips?
